About the Role
Lasswade Gymnastics Club is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Gymnastics Coach to join our General Gymnastics programme.
This is an exciting opportunity for a coach who enjoys working with children, creating positive and engaging sessions, and helping gymnasts develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of gymnastics. Whether you are an experienced coach or are looking to develop your coaching career, we want to support you to develop your potential and inspire excellence. Our coaching team benefits from mentoring, CPD opportunities and ongoing support to help coaches build their skills and confidence.
THE ROLE
Hours: Flexible, with 4–16 hours per week available, depending on availability, experience and programme requirements. The main coaching opportunities are Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings, with additional hours potentially available throughout the week.

Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, prepare and deliver safe, engaging and progressive gymnastics sessions.
Coach gymnasts across our General Gymnastics programme, adapting sessions to suit different ages and abilities.
Develop gymnasts' fundamental gymnastics skills, strength, flexibility, coordination and confidence.
Provide positive encouragement and appropriate corrections to help gymnasts progress.
Create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where every gymnast feels valued and encouraged.
Monitor gymnast progress and support gymnasts to work towards appropriate goals and proficiency awards.
Complete effective session planning and preparation.
Work collaboratively with other members of the coaching team to maintain consistent coaching standards.
Follow all club safeguarding, health and safety and operational procedures.
Participate in mentoring, CPD and professional development opportunities.
We're looking for a coach who:
Holds a recognised Level 1 or above gymnastics coaching qualification.
Is passionate about gymnastics and enjoys working with children and young people.
Creates a positive, encouraging and inclusive coaching environment.
Is reliable, professional and committed to delivering high-quality sessions.
Is willing to learn, develop and respond positively to feedback.
Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to the club environment.
Takes pride in helping gymnasts develop their skills and confidence.
Previous coaching experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
