LASSWADE GYMNASTICS CLUB CHILD PROTECTION POLICY STATEMENT

Lasswade Gymnastics Club is dedicated to ensuring that all individuals working with children and adults adhere to the highest standards of practice to safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of participants and staff. The club upholds these standards by:

Adopting Scottish Gymnastics Health, Safety, and Welfare Guidelines.
Implementing Scottish Gymnastics Guidelines for the Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults.
Appointing a Welfare Officer (Child Protection Coordinator).
Ensuring staff are properly trained in child protection, health, safety, and welfare matters.
Verifying that coaches and officials are screened for suitability to work with children, including Criminal Record Bureau checks where appropriate.
Adhering to best coaching practice guidelines at all times.
Addressing grievances or complaints promptly and in line with established grievance procedures.
Ensuring that at least two responsible adults are present at all training sessions and events.
Maintaining a zero-tolerance policy towards poor practice, bullying, or any form of abuse.

OUR SAFEGUARDING TEAM

Our Safeguarding Officers at Lasswade Gymnastics Club are:

This role of within our club is to promote best practice by ensuring everyone is aware of their roles & responsibilities. They are also the first point of contact for coaches, helpers, parents and gymnasts on any issues concerning the well being of the club members, (poor practice or potential alleged abuse).

They have all completed the following courses: Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Safe Gym for All, PVG Course
