Scottish gymnastics Child Wellbeing & protection policy
Lasswade Gymnastics Club is committed to safeguarding the wellbeing and protection of all children and young people involved in our club.

As a member club of Scottish Gymnastics, we adopt and follow the Scottish Gymnastics Child Wellbeing & Protection Policy and Guidance. This provides the framework we use to support a safe, positive and inclusive environment and sets out the procedures for recognising, reporting and responding to safeguarding concerns.

Our coaches, volunteers and wider club team are expected to follow the relevant Scottish Gymnastics safeguarding policies and procedures, with safeguarding being everyone's responsibility.

OUR SAFEGUARDING tEAM
At Lasswade Gymnastics Club, our Safeguarding Team is here to support gymnasts, parents, carers, coaches and volunteers with any concerns relating to the safety or wellbeing of a child or young person.
​
Our Safeguarding Officers are trained to respond to concerns in line with the Scottish Gymnastics safeguarding policies and procedures. They provide a confidential point of contact and can advise on the appropriate next steps.

Report a safeguarding & wellbeing concern
How to Report a Concern
If you are worried about something you have seen, heard or been told, please speak up. You do not need to be certain that something is wrong before raising a concern.
A concern could relate to:

A child's safety or wellbeing

Something a child has experienced or disclosed

The behaviour of an adult towards a child

Bullying or inappropriate behaviour

Poor practice
